COMMENT :
I got this one months ago (posted by tpoff...thanks!), but the date was incorrectly listed as Jan. 1, 1976. According to NJFunkNetwork, who shared this show back in the STG days, the correct date should be Oct. 1, 1976 and this show came directly from George Porter Jr.'s master cassette.
Overall, the sound quality is very good...and the performance, in my opinion, is damn good...especially the 19-minute long "It Ain't No Use/Do That Thing" medley.
"Remastering" notes:
The very end of Hey Pocky Way had a sharp cut in the original file, so I added a very small fade so that the ending isn't as harsh now. I believe I faded in/out only one or two other spots to smooth things out a bit.
Aside from that, the volume levels on the original files were a bit uneven (i.e., the first half of the show and the second half were at noticeably different volumes), so I levelled them out with Nero's WAV editor before converting them back to FLACs.
Lastly, I did some minor re-tracking with CD Wave...nothing major.
There was no other editing or EQ'ing performed. If you have this show already, you may consider this version a slight upgrade. If you DON'T have this show already, it will be a MAJOR upgrade if you decide to grab it! :)
If you like the show, won't you please consider posting a comment on the show's board? Enjoy the show...N'awlins funk rules!
