Station break during Hey Pocky Way:
WNOE New Orleans
*Light static noticible between songs, slight hiss & a couple channel drops but very very good for the vintage- IMO. Filler tacks 8 & 9 seem to come from a higher genned/ different broadcast/venue but the music is red hot.
A-/B+ Check Sample......
SANDS
T1 Fire on the Bayou (fade in)
T2 Just Kissed my Baby
T3 Jungle Man
T4 The World is a little bit under the Weather
T5 Hang em High
T6 Hey Pocky Way
T7 They All Asked for You
+
SHOWBOAT 76'?
T8 Just Kissed my Baby
T9 Big Chief
Meters Flood, eh? I usually stick to uploading jazz & fusion but love the funk & thought I would share this one. I traded for it about ten years ago & not sure how much it actually circulates. Etree lists only a couple of "owners".
This was recorded right around the release of "Trick Bag" and just after they got back from a European Tour opening for the Stones.
Request: If anybody has a copy of The Meters @ Tipitina's 2/21/77- Please upload.
enjoy,

Contains two extra tracks, believed to be from the Showboat, also in 1976.
