Recorded just before the Allman Brothers' summer 1991 tour, this is a nice, clear, up-close recording from the basement at Larry Blake's, which was probably the closest that any taper's rig has been to Gregg Allman since the 1970s.

Technically an Alameda All-Stars show, both sets begin with the All-Stars, who are joined by Gregg a few songs in, and he sits in for the rest of the set as noted.  The accompanying newspaper article gives some background and a brief review.

This tape gave a lot of trouble, requiring two passes and then extensive patching, but the result is perfect until the band says goodnight, when the tape began spewing digi-static.  Thus, the audio fades out abruptly.  All that's missing is a few minutes of the audience yelling for more.

Enjoy!
