Notes: This is a great sounding recording of one of the best bands around. Tim Young's playing is simply incredible this night. He's Chet Atkins, John McGlaughlin, Bill Frisell all rolled up in one. Actually he's just himself and easily one of the best guitarists alive! Wayne's compositions are the perfect vehicle for improvisation and he's no slouch playing the piano either. The east coast rhythm section did fine, especially considering they'd played the music for the first time together the night before.
If you're in Seattle please go and TAPE the Pigpen/Zony Mash show tonight 11/1/2008. If I could be anywhere in the world it'd be there. Enjoy! Toby
