==========

I was at this show with my DA-P1 deck as I taped the night before in Providence, RI but chose not to run my rig and patch into Jeff Travitz's rig instead. I vividly remember leaving my seat from the 7th row on the floor to go to Jeff's rig just up in the seats to the right to plug in my deck. I had to wait there for about 30 minutes as Jeff and the guy he was with set up their gear. Just before the lights go down, I'm able to hand off my deck and hit record, but unfortuantely the tape is full of diginoise and is useless. This source never made it out to the public even though I knew it would be the best audience recording of the night based on the source and seat location.

As part of my efforts to find and share the live music of this band with fans like me, I've been searching for DAT collections of tapers who may not have spread their recordings as diligently as others. This tape is part of such a collection we recently received from Peter Jaeger. After talking to Peter about this particular show, it turns out he is the other guy who was there taping with Jeff Travitz as I was trying to patch my deck into their rig. Thankfully, Peter was also patched into Jeff and got this great recording of the show.

After 22 years of hoping one day I could track down this source, that search comes to an end as this DAT tape, one that was at arm's length from me as I stood there that night, sits here on my desk and completes the story of this recording being shared with the fandom in these files.

==========

This is a new source to circulation as of fall 2022. It is part of a collection of tapes that Peter Jaeger provided and allowed us to review for sources that didn't make it into the digital age. Huge thanks to Peter for trusting us with his personal DATs to help us provide as many listening opportunity for fans as possible.

If you have any sources that we can help review whether it matches extant sources or want help converting and spreading, please reach out to us at dmbalmanac@gmail.com. We are willing to take on as much of the work as we can to share this music that maybe you might be the only one in possession.
