Notes:
This previously uncirculating Go Ahead show (and recording) will be a welcome addition to anyone into this band, as it’s one of the better audience recordings to have surfaced.  Despite it being a noisy bar, Brad found the sweet spot, as this is a remarkably clear in-your-face recording.  It also helps that Harry Popick’s house mix is exceptional for such a small venue, with extremely clear vocals and the instruments well balanced.

Brad paused the deck between some songs when the tuning got long, resulting in a few songs starting abruptly with a split-second missing.  His tape also ran out during Billy’s drum solo, but the 85:25 that he captured sounds quite nice.

One thing that is unusual about this show is the band extends “Take Me To The River” to over 23 minutes long with a spontaneous improvisation that oddly enough, concludes into a 5 minute bass solo!  I tracked the three sequences out, but it's actually a single continuous performance.

My thanks to Doug Rice for his continued sleuthing for untapped archives in upstate New York and getting Brad’s master transferred for us all to enjoy!   - Alan
