Okay listen to this and then listen to the "Mason's" on Fallout from the Phil Zone (also purported to be from 2/2/70). Does this sound like the same "Mason's" to you?! I didn't think so! So is Gadsen fibbing, is Phil off his rocker, or have I single-handedly proven that there was a late show as well on February 2, 1970. 'Cause that sure as hell ain't the same "Mason's"; my God, the two guitar solos are as different as Manny Pacquiao is from Corrie Sanders. Both may be southpaws, but they ain't gonna be in the same ring, you crazy bastards.

The recording on Fall Out is stated to be from the show at Fillmore East 1/2/70, NOT this one.
Phil's & Bill Gadsden's reputations both continue to be safe! :-)

You are correct, sir!

Anybody else notice a muffled, swirling quality to the sound on this source? It's hard to describe, but, compared to the other two sources, it's very noticeable, especially on the CB fragment that precedes Dark Star. Noise reduction?
