Notes: This show was retracked for 2 80 minute discs. The fade out/in during the
encore break on the master discs was removed by mixing the two tracks together
with SoundEdit 16.  CD > WAV was done using trackthief. All editing done using
SoundEdit 16. For an OTS, the sound is excellent. Enjoy!  -Matt (phisken@etree.org)

* With jam over band "ooo"ing - basically a "Crosseyed and Painless" jam without
the actual vocals.
** With whistling.
*** Jammed out a bit, all drop out except Page who solos for about a minute and
then takes it into "Loving Cup".
^During which someone with a backpack jumps onstage, runs across stage, and
is chased by Pete Carini.
^^Which starts out with Fishman saying "The game is don't let Carini get you --
it's okay to jump onstage as long as Carini doesn't get you -- don't attack the
drummer" and includes a chant throughout of "Carini's gonna get ya"; during
which the lights go out and a glowstick war ensues.
+Pete Carini is brought on stage.

Now this is a nice sounding seed. Great balance, nice rich, full sound. Gotta love the Roses>Piper!

This is pretty good for AKGs...i bet we can do much better

If you mean better than this by getting a soundboard then yes, we can do better.

They're decent but what i ment is i STILL dont think we should get too comfortably in this source. USUALLY if AKGs sound good in a venue there's bound to be a FOB neumann or schoeps that sounds much better... it's decent for the time being theres no doubt in my mind that there are better sources (i heard some nice gefell 210 a while back from the island tour that were breathtaking)

Not to start a huge debate in this forum, but your e-mail isn't linked. Why do Schoeps and Neumanns always get the benefit of the doubt? I've heard some awfully shitty recordings from different types of Schoeps and Neumanns. Compare this to the other currently Island Tour sources. This puts them to shame. I'm all about trying to find the best source, but to say the AKGs cannot be the best in this instance is absurd. Like the original poster of this seed said, this is a very nice sounding source.

Yeah its a good recording, that's for sure. I'm just adamant about not getting too "cozy" in ONE source, that's all, esp AKGs.

this source's md5's aren't formatted correctly; their spacing makes the separate files unrecognizable to md5sum.

User: Ben Mohr
Thanks Ben, the md5's should now be properly formatted for download!

are there dank island tour seeds?
Date: 04/01/2002
User: Mike
The Dank seeds (Schoeps) are currently being reviewed for the 4/3/98. There were a few spots of diginoise in the first transfer, so a new transfer is being worked on now. The 4/2/98 review has been completed and the Dank version is circulating. 4/5/98 is still being reviewed and will likely be completed soon.

Check out the Mozambique jam at 6:01 of Weekapaug.

I prefer this source over the dankseed's CMC6/MK41 source. Sound is much less muddy with this one.
