Notes:
This was a very unique taping experience for me.  It all started with me walking into
the Kimmel Center and having at least 3 employess tell me that I couldn't take my mic
stand into the venue.  While I tried to explain that Bruce allowed audio taping, I was
met with the same reply from those same 3 folks..."Well, that's nice, but we here at the
Kimmel Center do NOT allow taping".  OK, so with mic stand still in hand, I boogie on
down to my seat and realize that I'm in row 1, with the left stack just about 10 feet
away from me, about 2 more feet to my left.  'Nice taping seat' I think to myself, but
not with 2 security personnel parked directly over my left shoulder.  With that mic stand
still in my hand, I drew even more unwanted attention.  Finally, I had a chance to speak
with one more Kimmel employee who basically said "No audio taping is allowed in this venue,
even if the artist does allow it...BUT, if you're discreet..."  That was it, and he walked
away!  That was all I needed to hear, so I guess you could consider this a partial stealth
recording.  I laid the stand down in a corner, and threw on my taping hat.  Anyway, since I wasted a good 10 minutes trying to figure out exactly what my plan of attack was, I was still scrambling a little bit when the lights went down.  I missed about the first 10-15 seconds of Bruce singing the opening notes of the show, but the rest of it is SWEET!  I had the left
stack just off to the left.  In addition to that, directly in front of me, in the vertical
wall of the stage, was an approximately 1' x 3' opening that was covered by black fabric.
As the show started, I realized that this was another speaker, what almost sounded like a
stage monitor with a slight predominance towards Bruce's vocals/piano.  Mind you, this was
not a bad thing, but it makes for a real sharp and unique sound quality.  To my ears, this
sounds very much like a matrix mix and I think everyone who downloads it will enjoy it.
