comments:

* according to Deadlists the section of Good Lovin' that was originally included is in fact from 09/18/70 and so I have excluded it here.

I've also left out the original d1t13 which was the only NRPS song and is, in any case, incomplete.

SirMick, curious as to whether you were able to fix the constant levels fluctuations that occur from the end of NFA through Caution and Feedback?

type-o in text file for d2 tracks. Should read:
09 Easy Wind
10 Sugar Magnolia
11 Attics Of My Life
12 Mama Tried
Date: 01/24/2006
I have copy of this source, identical in all respects to the one here, except that it *has* Good Lovin' and doesn't have Big Boy Pete. The text file is the same, and even has the comment about Good Lovin' being excluded, but it has shntool output for Good Lovin' in the d2t06 slot:

3:40.73 38979740 --- -- ---xx gd70-09-20d2t06.shn

The shntool totals in the text file are, of course, different, too:

167:52.04 1776711440 B (totals for 28 files, 0.5817 overall compression ratio)

Also, an MD5 for Good Lovin' is in the MD5 file:

246e1bfaa0412ee98de34d884528a0db *gd70-09-20d2t06.shn

Every other MD5 is identical to the MD5 file linked here.

d2t06 is definitely Good Lovin', too. I just listened to it.

Anybody know what might be up?

For reasons unknown, a partial version of Good Lovin' was included within previous circulating versions of this show for many years - it has been established, however, that the Good Lovin' fragment in question is from 9/18/70 (under which date it circulates in full, as part of a second set partial SBD) and rightly forms no part of any *correct* shn/FLAC sets for 9/20/70.

As to why your set is missing Big Boy Pete is beyond me...

This is really odd, then. The text file and MD5s I have for this source are identical -- word for word and checksum for checksum -- to what's here, except for the different info for d2t06 in the shntool output, the changed shntool totals, and the different MD5.

Does anyone know if this source was available at the Archive? The reason why I ask is that the LMA admins have been known to make "undocumented changes" to sources housed there.

I can't remember where I got this source now. The three possibilities are LMA, bt.etree, and TMNSP, with LMA being the overwhelmingly likely candidate.

Cool Breeze, I would guess that you got it from TMNSP, that's where I seeded it as far as I can recall.

I've no idea why you have the different files. I'll try and dig out my original seed just to confirm what was in it.

Thanks! I'd appreciate that. Now that my intake has slowed down (to a crawl), I'm trying to reconcile my collection. Out of 1535 sources, I've only got a handful I can't account for. This is one of them.

I have now checked what I have archived and it is as above. I've also checked what's on LMA and that is correct too. I'm at a loss to understand how you came to have Good Lovin' instead

Thanks for the effort and response. I may have to register the copy I have as a new source.
