After having posted the 12.10.99, I just had to up this one, right? This show is another philly show recorded and transferred by 'PA-Deli-Mike'. As with the night before, Mike and I attended this show together and stood in the taper's section. Couldn't make any noise, of course, but got to watch 'Chris Kuroda' do his lighting thing as we were at the front of the taper's section immediately behind the lighting board. Mike and Chris had to take time to chat before and after the show, as they don't get to see eachother as often as they used to.

'PA-Deli-Mike' and 'Chris Kuroda' went to the same High School together in Long Island, NY back in the late 1970's. Small world, huh?

As it seems with most of Phish's philly shows, this one doesn't disappoint. Mike Gordon is particularly strong on this performance, or is it just me? This audience recording like the previous evening is very nice (EX/EX-), and like all Mike's recordings, this is a new source to circulation.

Notice the soundtrack to the movie, 'The Godfather' begins to play over the P.A. system just before the fade-out after the encore. Are Trey and the guys trying to tell us something? :-)!!
