I just took a good long listen, first off it is definitely smokin'. Second I am pretty sure that the organist is none other than Howard Wales. It is pretty interesting to hear him on Dark Star. I wonder if this is one of the first times Garcia and him played together.

Someone plays a flute in the background for at least a couple minutes of this show (and maybe more) beginning at 10:30 into Dark Star. Any idea who it is?

Flute player could be Charles Lloyd. The comments for 8/21/69 says he played flute on some songs.
