~10dB dropout in R channel from 3:17 - 3:25.6, followed by ~ -4dB adjustment in L channel at 3:39 of d1t01 (Hell in a Bucket); otherwise, sound is phenomenal.

Amazing spatial qualities! The AMS ST250s really pull you into this show. It has a bit of over emphasis in the high frequencies which is probably characteristic of the mics. The bass is tight and realistic. Very impressive recording!

Not only the sound, but the performance on this MSG show is exceptional. For a 1993 show, Garcia et al are playing with real energy and clarity. Joy, even. They are kicking butt, I am serious. Among the very best 90s shows I've heard.... all the songs sound re-arranged in the idiom of the last incarnation of the Dead, including some tasty late-era tunes (Broken Arrow, etc). But what's unusual is these arrangements are so gracefully + strongly played and sung, for basically the whole show!! wish I were there at the time.... thanks tapers!! =)

This is a fabulous recording that really should be listened to on a great pair of headphones to appreciate the spatial qualities of these amazing mics. It truly feels like you're up front. One dropout at like 8:13 during Tterrapin on d2, but this is probably my favorite tape of all time. Incredible show.

its a single stereo mic actualy.
Its "brassyness" in these GD recordings is (IMO) the overly bright GD sound in '1993 and a combination of things downstream from the mic.
believe me, the high end characteristics of this sucker are far from exagerated. its as flat as a pancake.
