Anyone else notice a SBE between D2T06 and T07?

Oh brother. Is that the only thing you can say about this incredible, magnificent AUD??? What about the hilarious taper fight? The momumental Shakedown Street that lights us all afire?? The Let It Grow is great, too. Lighten up and enjoy one of the greatest AUD recordings of all time.

WTF? For what it's worth, I like the show a lot. Nevertheless, I don't think anyone deserves to be ridiculed for posting a comment that many folks who use this resource may find useful. Perhaps you could bring the hostility level down a couple notches.

I didn't notice any hostility in Wik's comments but Sean is definitely in the right place to note any artifacts in the source. If we don't keep tabs on this stuff, people might think it's just in their copies... which could cause troubles down the line.

Thanks for the note about the SBE. The fact that it's between two songs that seque is troubling, b/c one reason for the SBE is that something is missing there.

Hey, let's not forget about the St. Stephen jam out of space either.

There are better tapes even of this particular show, to say nothing of "greatest AUD recordings of all time."

The comment section of this sources db is a totally appropriate place for even the nitpickiest of quality notes. That's what it's here for! Besides letting people know they might have the same glitch as anyone else (not just on their own copy), flaw reports can prompt people to track down better seed(s) or to polish/rerelease the one that's around.

Many apologies, Sean! Least interesting of all is a philosophical argument about Etree etiquette, so I apologize for triggering one. Lovely show though. If there's a better source, listeners might spontaneously pop!
Wise apparently did not decode Dolby on this, so the treble is a little stilted. The Garcia tone is very forward. Some of us like that, though. As for placement, soundstage, and completeness, this recording beats 99% of even today's DAT masters. JMO..... peace.
