This is a Betty Board that likely suffered water damage in the Marin
County floods. As a result, there is some varying distortion
throughout the recording that at times affects the vocals. It is
significantly noticeable that noise reduction was performed from The
Race is On through the end of the show, probably to remove the slight
whine evident on disc 1 that may have increased as the show went on.
The mix is also low on bass. Sound Forge was used to normalize and to
remove a few minor glitches. Despite the handicaps mentioned, this is
an otherwise clean and full sounding recording.
Thanks to Jeff Krakowka for this fine show.

Hopefully a seed of this show becomes available w/out the NR applied, or applied correctly, b/c this show deserves a better fate than this......... :<

I received this show on CD with the infamous noise reduction already applied. Lineage of SBD>MR>?>DAT was all that was noted. I have no idea who I traded with. It's been so long..
My cds went to Cotsman so he could work his magic!!

I would not call it unlistenable at all. The water damage sounds worse on paper than it does it my ears, in fact.

Not so bad at all. You guys were right, as a soundboard, it's not nearly as bad as 10/21 and 5/13 of this year. The only problem with the vocals is Donna the Destroyer.

You did'nt like D.J. wailing off key & @ the wrong time?

Then I started 3/22 and it sounds much better.

ya know, i swear, sometimes it sounds like donna is getting murdered on-stage. in my 20 years of taping and trading, i have never cared for hearing her. she is rarely worthwhile and has detracted from many a killer show. same could be said of the waning years with vince i suppose.

I'll tell you what's ridiculous. All these comments, and nothing but complaining.
Fact remains: this is an *outstanding show* in a year full of outstanding shows. One of the greatest Playin's of all time, an inspired China>Rider, so much more. On top of that this SBD is no worse than a B+
Oh well, I guess some of you will just miss out.
