Notes:
I'm not exactly sure what happened on this recording but it seems that the left channel decided to drop
out for a few seconds off and on during Albanian. I don't think it was a loose cord, maybe dropped
samples or something?? got me. Either way you'll notice that it goes mono a few times during that song.
Sorry bout that, I hope a better recording surfaces. Other than that I think it's a pretty decent recording.
I got the chance to sit down with Aidan after the performance and ask him a few questions that had been bugging
me for awhile, I didn't tape it as I didn't think it was appropriate but I do remember our conversation
(note: none of this is direct quotes).

Q: Why did the band decided to do away with the tape loops and found sounds on the new album.
A: There was just too much music and we couldn't fit them in.

Q: What exactly did Steve Albini help do on the album?
A: He recorded the tracks with us in Chicago and we mixed it ourselves in Montreal.
(This I would have known if I had read the liner notes, but the original idea behind the question was to find
out why the album was lacking the intensity of previous ones. I didn't want it to come off as an insult though
so I ended up asking this.)

Q: Where exactly is the "!"?
A: godspeed you! black emperor, we went to Japan and actually met the director of the documentary where we got
our name from and found out that it's actually after "you".

Q: So you guys had it wrong the whole time?
A: ya.

That was pretty much the jist of our conversation, besides the typical praise that comes with meeting anyone you highly admire.
As usual questions and comments welcome
Cheers,
