Notes on Big E from the Powerhouse Brewery, Sebastopol CA 10-19-02
The stage mic was set up from the floor due to crowded condidions on
stage. The house mics were clamped to these nice, massive steel beam
"mic stands" thoughtfully provided by the seismic engineers for my
purposes at each side of the stage. The house there has a center
channel which is higher than the side fills, which I didn't mic. Howard
Danchek at the board bumped the left & right channels a little to facilitate my recording. The vocals are pristine.
Stage mic: Crown SASS P Mk 2 stereo PZM condenser.
House mics: Crown CM-700MP (matched pair) cardioid condensers.
Mixer: Shure FP-42. Provides phantom power to all 4 mic inputs into
2 stereo outputs.
Tape deck: Tascam DA-P1
Transfer: Soundforge 4.5>CDWave>wav>MKW.
