Is this really the best available copy? All through this recording it sounds like the tape deck is about to eat the tape. With all the other high-quality recordings from this time period, is this the best there is?
I just got this and Dancin appears to cut.....track lengeth is indeed 16:26 but I don't see the notation of the cut.

I found it unlikely that this is much improvement over the previous copy which is very murky and hissy. According to well-informed taper sources, there are at least 4 cass-gens on any circulating SBD-copy, but then again...who knows?

Went thru some archived discussions w. the more technically aware traders and the only circulating copy is this one with at least 4 cassette-gens. A supposed SBD>MR>DAT copy is probably still in the vault.

There is now a new SBD-seed circulating for Set 1 and Set 2 up through the cut in Ship Of Fools, which sounds way better than this multiple cass-gen version. Thanks to David Minches, Andy Lemieux and Peter Teitelbaum from DNC!
Still waiting to be shn?ed though, i beleive.

This upgrade mentioned here will undergo SHN treatment soon for getting the best version into circulation. I?m sending Jeff Cotsman audio discs of the new SBD + the AUD parts needed for him to make a hopefully definite SHN-set of this show.

Any word on the upgrade? I was at this show, and I would love to have it from a decent source. This source is, um, pretty bad.

There is work going on for a complete version which will include the better sounding SBD combined with the old one + patches in Dancin?and Lazy Lightning from the AUD which I provided. Hopefully it will come out soon.

I have been waiting for one last part to finish the job. I should have it this week.
