Joining forces in Dallas, Texas in 2002 Ryan Parvis (vocals, lead guitar), Travis Behl (vocals, bass) and Brian Hughes (vocals, rhythm guitar) formed the Transcenders to focus on writing and playing songs whose heartfelt messages inspire creativity, positive-thinking and spirituality.
Yearning to find cohesion and fluidity of lyric and music, the Transcenders in 2004 added Lionel "Bud" Lucchesi (drums) and Brian Girard (keyboard) to the mix infusing rock, blues, funk, country and jazz along with stylized, improvisational solos and duel jams that showcase the talents and variety of musical influences of each member.
Regionally performing at Club Dada, Club Clearview, The Cavern, Lakewood Bar & Grill and the Liquid Lounge, the Transcenders' energy and musical prowess capture new listeners, thus adding to and enriching an already solid and loyal fan base.
