Glastonbury 2005 was the year of The Rain.  On Friday morning, just as
dawn was breaking, it started to rain.  For 5 hours solid, it *poured*
down.  Some tents were, quite literally, underwater; some of the
portaloos literally really did float away.  One of the Dance Tents was
struck by lightning.  The place was awash; spirits were low.  Through
intermittent showers I made my way to the Croissant Neuf tent, in time
to get a good spot for this gig.  I had my mics clipped to the arms of
my glasses, and was leaning aginst the front pole of the tent, when
some official looking person came up to me... I thought I was being
busted for taping, but no... he just wanted me to move away from the
pole in case the tent got struck by lightning (!).  To top it all,
partway through Nizlopi's set, the Sun actually broke through...
excellent start to the weekend :-)

Luke Concannon - guitar, vocals, percussion
John Parker - double bass, human beat box
