Bob is very loud in the mix, and Jerry is quite low. What's worse is that Bob is horribly out of tune throughout (all too common in every Dead era, I'm afraid) and his "playing" makes this a tough one to get through. Beware.

This mix if just fine folks. Disc Two, which I'm listening to right now, is just perfect. Bob is in the right channel, Jerry is in the left, Phil and Billy K are in the middle. Keith come in beautifully just left of center.

No noticable tape hiss, though I'm sure there is some.

Billy's set sounds great. A kick drum with punch, snap to the snare drum and clear, well defined cymnbals.

Great work team.

Please also note following blemishes on SHN info.

D2T4 ~ 00:53 digi-noise
D2T5 ~ 12:16 skip
D2T5 ~ 20:52 drop-out

This is such a beautiful sounding show too, can these problems be fixed?

D2T6>T7: transition from Dew>Playin' has a tick at the very end of Dew(track ID) followed by a small skip. It sounds to me like your basic sector boundary issue from a bad transfer. All 3 versions I've had of this sound the same.

Splice in Bird Song (d1t07) at 08:04.

i'm not sure *which* version i have, it seems to be neither of these two sources listed...i do have the d/o on D2T4 darkstar, but a second later, 20:53, and a d/o at 0:50 D@T2 IKYR. all of the other artifacts listed are not on my copy, tho there were about 12 or so i took care of with Adobe Audition. There was the sector tick at the end of dew (removed).

As the OP noted, Bobby is up in the mix. Not too obnoxiously so, but definitely more than usual. The stereo imaging is fine.
