Seamless and patched edit of shnid 5227

The overlap between CDs 2 and 3 was deleted to make the transition seamless.  The SHNs were converted to FLAC and shntool was used to clean up SBEs.  Unfortunately archive does not have an AUD that I could use to take care of some of the problems listed below; if you have it, maybe you'd like to take a shot at it.

Patches were applied to d1t07 and d1t09 from a previous edit that had been burned to CD, then EACed in paranoid mode with 100% accuracy.  See notes at the bottom of this page.

The original fileset included a declicked version of d2t02, as well as the original, so I'm leaving both in.  Pick yer poison.

BTW hung up in EAC - there was a sync error and it took over 6hrs to get this track.  I'm sure it
ain't exactly perfect.
There was a bunch of clicks in Estimated from 3:45 to 3:56, I used Cool Edit Pro
to remove them.  Hence the 2 versions of d2t2.  Detection thresholds 13, 12, 10; rejection 11, 10, 8.
shns are from an EAC (secure mode) of audio discs received from Andrew Wigdahl

Info for patched tracks d1t07 (BT Wind) and d1t09 (Blow Away) of shnid 5227

Main source: sbd > ? > cdr > eac > shn (shnid 5227)
Patch source: previously patched tracks of same source (burned to CD) using unknown SBD and AUD sources as patch material; EACed in paranoid mode and with 100% accuracy.

A few years ago I patched these two tracks and burned the entire show to CD from SHNs downloaded from alt.binaries.gd (both main and patch sources).

Here's how the original patches were done before being burned to CD (all work done in CE 2K):

- Alt. SBD source volume raised to about 120% to match main SBD source.  At this volume the quality was so close as to be indistinguishable, making crossfades unnecessary.  All SBD patches in BT Wind and Blow Away are perfectly synched and transparent.
- AUD source patched into first dropout on BT Wind.  No crossfades used.  The two sources were synched as closely as possible - there may have been some volume adjustment on the AUD source, I don't remember.

Patching archival shnid 5227 tracks with EACed patches:

EACed patches (and only the patches) were cut and pasted into the non-EACed, archival shnid 5227 tracks in CE Pro and synched to 100% accuracy (this based on visual comparison of the two sources at the sample level and playback).

Sorry for not seeding these patched tracks the first time I uploaded this edit.  Thanks to Eldar for catching my oversight.

From the comments on the original SBD source, there is still a cut at 3:53 in Scarlet Begonias that I wasn't able to address. I know there's at least another SBD source out there, the one that I was able to grovel off of alt.binaries.gdead for my patches. I'll try putting in another grovel for Scarlet and see if anyone has an SBD without the first dropout in BT Wind.

Yes, the cuts in the second set are the most distressing, since this set was so unbelieveably hot (particularly scarlet...that cut just kills me). This was my 3rd show and I did not realize how lucky I was at the time to be witnessing such great playing. I've got an old audience recording of this show (on cassette....many generations old, way too much hiss to circulate) that is intact -- except for a tape flip in drums. I also remember hearing a great aud of this show in the parking lot at RFK summer 1991. So, getting one of the auds of this show is long overdue. They do exist.(soundboards always bore me anyway). I wish I had more connections so I could spread an aud of this around and return some of the kind favors that have been done to me. :-)

Another amendment - this seed does not contain the filler. Thanks.

Also one of my few pre-7/18/06 FLAC seeds without Replaygain, so this one is safe. If you're unsure if a source has Replaygain, highlight the track in the track listing in Winamp, the press ALT + 3. The properties box that pops up will tell you whether it's there or not.

My Dat of this show doesn't have the cuts. I'll seed it soon.
