In 1998 Leftover Salmon was more than likely the best touring band in the world. To me, the Jeff Sipe gigs could not be beat. I was lucky enough to catch and record a number of these shows. Many of them were just unbelievable. I'll be posting more as time allows. At least my favorites anyway. A number of them come to mind. 2/13/98 in Austin might have been the best show I saw. The next night in Dallas was nothing to scoff at either, and the 7/9/98 show with Derek Trucks at the Variety was a MARATHON. I think I almost filled 2 3-hour tapes. I have to give a huge shout to McNally for turning me on to them in late 97. Without his insight there is no way I would have had such an amazing spring in 98 following this lineup. So if you're a LoSer, stay tuned. There are some more gems to come.
