Thank you! THANK YOU! Thank you for seeding this version of this show. This show is easily in the top three Dead shows EVER and now it is finally complete and sounding better than ever. The SBD that's been circulating for the past few years was good, but this one is decidedly better. Not only are the two tape flips patched with a pretty darn good AUD, but the overall sound quality is much better. You can hear the cymbals clearly and distinctly and all the instruments have their own room to move around instead of being all mushed together and sounding like they're 1000 feet away. Each instrument is clear and has its own place in the music - right in your room.

Well alright Patrick!! Now that was a vote of confidence. I'm not sure Joe follows etree, but I will pass your kind comments on to him as he was the person responsible for the seed shn's.

There is, alas, a single, teeny-tiny "tick" in Help (d1:t1) at 3:41. Ditto the first post, though. What a thing of beauty this SHN is.

This show is spectacular. The night before sometimes overshadows this show, but to me this one is just as good if not better. A very nice Help, Slip, Frank opener with my favorite Peggy-O of all time and a smokin' Music Never Stopped. This show justs smokes all the way through, and this version really kicks up the clarity a notch and the audience patches are done quite nicely. Thanks Betty!!

most of slipknot! is actually included in d1t1. d1t2 is just the end theme of slipknot!

I don't think Patrick's comments above are warranted.
This new seed, while providing excellent audience patches where they were desperately needed, does little in the way of improving the SBD mix from what was previously circulating. It seems perhaps slightly cleaner, but in no way did I find it to be crispier or more clear. That's my 2?

i would disagree with the assessment of the audience patches. the quality is very thin, the levels weren't matched, and the transition from sbd>aud>sbd is very jarring, more an abrupt cut than a crossfade.

Dave H is way off base. How he cannot this is a clear upgrade is beyond me. Anyway..blazing show. Thanks to all who managed to grab this gem.

I am currently making cds for this show and it seems a better cut would be to add Peggy-O to disc 2. There is tuning, almost 2 minutes worth, at the end of Peggy-O which, in my opinion would sound or flow better going directly into Sunrise. Also there is plenty of space on d2 for this.

I appreciate the efforts put into this source, but the patches are very jarring. I fixed the patches with a nice crossfade and removed the 'tick' in Help On The Way. I also fixed the levels which were a bit low and uneven (for anal folks like me) and I cleaned up some other stuff. This show was easy to work on thanks to the fine work of those who worked on it before me.
