Dan Tepper - Sound

Cocktails was my favorite place (next to The Court Tavern)
to see Solar during this time period. The Court had a sort of New York
gritty atmosphere, like a scaled down Wetlands. Cocktails was just
the opposite. A nice big place, great sound system (nice and loud
but still very clear) and easy to get to from central jersey. The room was
laid out right with a nice wide stage and lots of room to dance.
There was a big bar in the middle, I think a few tables in the back, and
for a while a very large fish tank with oscars.

The playing here is sort of laid back, but with lots of nice
jamming. At this point the band is VERY tight and every turn and
transition is effortless. The set list is pretty standard for this
period, with the exception of "Late In The Evening".
