The Black Crowes at The Irish Cultural Centre of New England, ICONS Festival, Canton, MA, August 10, 2007, Audience recording.
This was recorded with Sony TCS-580V cassette recorder with built-in stereo mics. TDK CDPower 110 (Type II) went from Onkyo TA-RW313 into Audigy Soundblaster SE. CDRs and track markings made with Magix Music On CD And DVD program. Wav made with Roxio Easy Media 8, flac with Flac Frontend.
The sound quality on this is somewhere between B- and B+. It's mostly pretty good, actually recorded from as far from the stage as possible, on the bleachers at the back. There weren't a lot of people back there (or at the show, for that matter), so there's not much chatting. The tape starts a bit late, as I forgot to forward past the tape leader, and started it right after the band started. The one major flaw is during track 07, when some guy who I'd spoken to earlier came over and started playing harmonica along with the band, not well at all. I mean, really, who DOES that? He was gone before the song finished, but it's still annoying enough. I would have moved or made him move, but I was also filming the show (not allowed to share that here- sorry), and didn't want to move or speak. In any event, this is about 88 minutes long, so I would suggest starting disc two at track 08, which is where the tape flip occurs.
According to crowesbase, there is a digital audience recording of this - hopefully this will satisfy until that circulates.
Enjoy, share, don't sell, and give credit when it's due. Peace!
