I have the original, SBE-infested file set. The MD5s for my file set match those contained in 'orig-shn-md5'. The ST5 for that file set (as generated by shntool) is:

This is all so mysterious, even 42 years after the fact. See http://lostlivedead.blogspot.com/2010/01/february-12-1970-unganos-new-york-ny.html

That blog post is a fascinating example of the frailties of human recollection.
After reading the post and all of the comments in response to it, it seems certain that Ungano's advertised a GD show for that night in the Village Voice.
Whether that show went off as advertised, however, remains an open question, with credible sources weighing in on both sides.
If it did actually occur, the evidence indicates that it was an industry showcase with a limited number of tickets available to the general public, and a set list previewing material from Workingman's.
Since Black Peter and Casey Jones (both of which had been played live by the band since 1969) are the only two tracks from Workingman's in 5932 and this source, it seems unlikely either of the sources could be described as a Workingman's preview.
