From programme book Holland Festival 2000:
The Ensemble Modern, who had a great deal of succes at last years' Holland Festival, has a great reputation in the field of twentieth-century music. The ensemble collaborated with Frank Zappa on The Yellow Shark in the early nineties. At the festival, the ensemble wil perform the 'radio play' The Adventures of Greggery Peccary and twelve other Zappa pieces, including Dental Hygiene Dilemma and The Dangerous Kitchen under the direction of Peter Eotvos. With baritone Omar Ebrahim, pianist and singer Hermann Kretzschmar and vocal artist David Moss.

Ensemble Modern plays Frank Zappa (I suppose this text is from the programme book of the Cologne concert):
The new tour starts on June 6 in Cologne. After the overwhelming success of The Yellow Shark, this year the Ensemble Modern does another tour with a Frank Zappa program. The composer Ali N. Askin, who already did the arrangements of the Yellow Shark project in collaboration with the composer, is also responsible for the new program Greggery Peccary & Other Persuasions.
The titles refers to the piece "The Adventures of Greggery Peccary", whose arrangement holds
original but unpublished parts and voices of Zappa and thus will be a true premiere. Further
pieces, among them "The Black Page No 1", "Revised Music for Low Budget Orchestra",
"Night School" and "Put a Motor in Yourself", are also amlost completely arrangements from
the year 2000. For working on the synclavier pieces like "The Beltway Bandits", Askin
collaborated with Zappa's synclavier player Todd Yvega. The conductor is Peter Eotvos, soloists are the vocal artist David Moss and the English baritone Omar Ebrahim.
Greggery Peccary & Other Persuasions is a co-production of Ensemble Modern, MusikTriennale Koeln 2000, musica viva/Bayerischer Rundfunk, Holland Festival, Comitato Bologna/Angelica Festival, EXPO 2000 Hannover GmbH, Konzerthaus Berlin/MOM GmbH & Co. Classic Open Air KG, KulturRuhr/Musik im Industrieraum. The Ensemble Modern wants to thank Arabel von Karajan for her generous support.
