Recording Information: Beyer MCE83 microphones>DMIC-20 preamp>SonyM1. Recorded at approx. 15' from right side of stage directly into the right stack.
Mastering Information: DAT converted to .wav via Sony 87ES (48kHz)>SB Extigy soundcard (digitally)>Sony SoundForge to computer. Downsampled from 48kHz to 44.1kHz in SoundForge. Fade in at beginning and fade out at end of set. Individual .wav tracks created in CD Wave Editor. Converted to .flac format with Trader's Little Helper.
The Band: Jeff Massey (guitar and vocals), Tod Bowers (bass and backing vocals) and Joe Winters (drums).
This show featured the band's friend Rick Richards (of Georgia Satellites fame) who played the entire set with the band on guitar and vocals excluding the encore tune. Tyla (of Dogs D'Amour fame) sat in on four tunes with the band. Gary Camaro (of Wabash Cannonballs) sat in with the band for the encore only. Wabash Cannonballs opened the show with Tyla doing a solo set before The Steepwater Band.
What a rocking Tuesday night in Chicago!
