Steve Kimock Band 08-11-2001 Berkfest, Upper Lodge(Late Nite), Great Barrington, MA
Source: (On Stage) Schoeps mk4(ortf)->kc-5 actives->cmc6->Lunatec 316(+22dB)->
SBM-1(oade Mod.)->DA-P1 @44.1kHz Recorded by Eric McRoberts. SBM-1 line in
at 2.7, Audio Magic Apprentice XLR->RCA's from 316->SBM-1. Master from DA-P1
used in below transfer
Transfer: Panasonic SV-3700->Audio Magic Presto II->Zefiro ZA2->Soundforge 4.5->CDWav->.shn
transfer by Eric McRoberts. No normalizing, resampling, or DAE.
Edits: 5 second fade ins/oust applied at the start/end of each set.
Listening note: Cable connection problems d1t02: 05:36, & d2t02: 12:16, 14:52-15:00
Though this seed has three cable
conection problems in the first song of each set, I am %100 certain that
the overall sound quality will be much better than any other recordings of
this show. There were no other stage mics. All the other tapers were clamped
to the lighting pole approx. 20' back of the stage. The mix on stage was
perfect, and the tapes reproduce the sound very well.
And for the record the flaw sound are not errors from the digital domain,
apparently I was having these cable issues all weekend but I obviously didn't
notice them until I returned home after the weekend and listened to the DATs,
ouch!!!! The problems have been left untouched.
