A truly amazing experience, beck appeared at show's beginnig on a wooden stool. He adjusted his harmonica and acoustic, and proceeded to deliver one of his best shows ever. Of particuliar interest, were the medally / cover of Gary Numan and James Taylor, as well as Hank Williams Sr, the repeated request of a young boy (Trent) who begged to hear "Satan Gave Me a Taco," and the subsequent "funeral song for Satan Gave Me A Taco, Steve Threw Up, Mexico, etc." In addition to playing songs from almost every album (with the exception only of Midnite Vultures) there were also several improvised songs. Smokey Hormel joined beck to play guitar for a few osngs including the fan favorites "Deadweight" and "It's All in Your Mind." Beck played 3 encores when the audience refused to end the night he had promised would be about "who outlasts who." His grand finale was a magnificent performance of his classic cover of Skip James' "Devil Got My Woman." The crowd gave beck a fourth and final standing ovation, thus ending a perfect night of music and magic. Later outside Smokey Hormel greeted fans, signed autographs, and chatted about his experiences with beck and future plans. He advised that Beck himself would soon join him to meet fans, but shortly afterwards a team of 5 crew cut platinum blonde haired Atlanta policemen advised us to leave (but that didn't take away from one of the greatest concerts I've ever attended.)
