I talked to a British couple in TGIFridays before the show. This was right when we were going to War with Iraq. Other than the amazing concert that was my highlight of the trip from Buffalo

So here I am in New York City all the way from Florida. I have no ticket for the show. Again I am hoping for my good ticket karma to kick in. I search and search. All fakes and ridiculous prices on the street. I am getting discouraged. My friends are inside and the show is about to start. I am outside, so close to seeing Dave and Tim for the first time. My heart begins to break. Then I walk to where only 3 people are standing. It is the bands guest list will call door. Not sure what could happen but I wait and wait and wait. They have been onstage for almost an hour and here I am outside in the cold. Then Mike Gordon of phish walks up to get his tickets. I tell him to enjoy the show and he says "you too." I find it weird becuse how can I enjoy the show out here in the freakin cold????? Then the lady calls me in to the door. "have you ever seen Dave and Tim" No! "have you seen the band?" Yea like 13 times! Then she gives me a ticket...FOR FREE! I bow and say thank you thank you, I don't know how many times. I run to the ticket takers. My heart is racing. I approach ushers who are doing a fine job ushering me closer and closer and closer. My heart begins to pound because Dave and Tim are so close. I settle in my seat which is second row, stage left!! Can you believe. I begin to weep lightly. I have only missed half of the show. I sit in wonderment as I dance in my seat. The remainder of the show is brillant. Not a whole lot of Davepspeak. Just musical masterpieces created by only two guitars. Powerful. Get this show and see for yourself.
