2nd Phish show. Good times, i brought along three of my friends who had never seen Phish, and one of them had never been to a concert. Great show, Dust in the Wind, Bowie, DWD > Catapult, and a Hood encore.

This show was pretty good. You could tell they were really happy to be back at alpine (trey only sold 8,000 tickets when he played here in 2002). the first four songs smoked (mango???holy canoli). roggae was boring (love to hear fish sing a song, but definately could have used a moma here instead.) discern was nice, imo. i didn't > dust in the wind > know took us back a few years. Bowie was a nice capper for set.

the 2nd set opener, DWD > Catapult, was simply amazing. It is probably the best jam of 2003 imo. what happened next killed the energy and the flow of the show. the band rolled out bug (meh) then the 2 new uninspired "two versions of me" and "secret smile", totally shameless imo. Twist got us back on track with a nice 20 minute version with a stand Zero to close the set.

As they were coming back on stage, I knew Hood would be the encore, and, sho' nuff, it was. A lot of fun and sent us back to the campground smiling(actually, we were camping in a nice families backyard who had a sign that said "free camping for phish tickets", they settled for twenty bucks.)
