Supporting the Rolling Stones for 'Molson Canada Rocks Toronto,' aka 'SARS-fest.
Two known versions in circulation. The first contains only the AC/DC set list. The second contains Angus & Malcolm performing, 'Rock Me Baby,' with the Rolling Stones, later that night.
The latter recorded with a MZR-700 utilising Sony mics.
Gut-wrench, skull-bashing rock 'n roll. The band stole the show. I haven't heard Brian's voice sound this grand in well over a decade
The favourite hits were represented, but a few suprises were also in store. 'If You Want Blood, You've Got It,' a track that hasn't been in the set list since the 'Highway To Hell' tour in 1979 with Bon, get's played with ferocity, much to the surprise of casual DC fans around me ... 'Is that a new song?' Angus performs his 'strip-tease' during 'The Jack.' This has not occurred to my knowledge since the mid-70's in Australia. 'Let There Be Rock' is left to be the opus rather than a precursor to 'T.N.T.' and 'For Those About To Rock.' 'Highway To Hell' is the encore, rather than squeezed into the mid to end, 'second' set. Shorter than their usual tour sets, it helped to keep the bands energy up. A simple, powerful, as well as, historic perfomance, I hope it was enjoyed by all of the 450,000 in attendance.
