So my buddy & I make a road trip to the Madtown for a Dylan show; I had seen him a little over five months before, but the fact that it was at a minor league ballpark intrigued me. Also, Willie Nelson playing didn't hurt either... You don't say no to the "Red-headed Stranger". Anyway, we get there a few hours before the gates open to discover that the tickets have been sold out. We attempted to procure entry from passers-by to no avail. Eventually, we made our way to a spot behind a chain-link fence which had a clear view of the stage, which was in centerfield. So we watch the first band, Hot Club Of Cowtown. They were a pretty good bluegrass-style band. Then Willie Nelson played his unique blend of country-tinged Rock & Roll. [to be continued at a later date]
