I will never forget when Laurie O'Leary told me his brother was working this show since he was Eric's bodyguard. I went by to say hello, knowing this was the show for AA people only. As I walked away Alphi called to me and asked if I wanted to go to the show. I said, "Sure, I guess." He let me in and after I had to help EC with his pullover sweater.

I don't know what he ever did to that beautiful, expensive sweater I gave him for Christmas 10 years earlier, but Ialways thought I would see him wearing it in concert. He did wear the cross though I gave him in '78 at Lakeland, FL, for his birthday.

The version of Wonderful Tonight was beautiful, with a nice backdrop of stars, or something to assimilate it. Midnight Hour was really good version. I wish I had a video camera then. I could have had a GREAT film since the place was small and the balcony to him was about 125'. I actually could have made my way right up to the stage.

Great show Rick! Nice thing you do for them every year. Just wish I caught you at church when you were singing.
