The Iowa state fair! One month and one day before 9/11. My wife was 5 months pregnant with our daughter. Our daughter came alive during the show; dancing and doing gymnastics in the womb. I was smoking an American Spirit rollie in the stands and this guy insisted I give him a "Hit" despite my warning that it was not what he thought it was. He was very disappointed when I gave him a drag. I was entirely impressed with Bob's ability to rock out at the age of 60. I had heard that some shows earlier in the year had some bad reviews. One freind said that she saw him a few months earlier and in her opinion, Bob had given up. She said he had no energy. So, I was expecting a poor performance, but still looking forward to being in the same place as the legend. I was suprised though, because he put on a great show! He even jumped around a little on the stage. The venue was great. From the grandstands you had a great view of the stage and the midway at the Iowa State Fair. After the show there was a great fireworks display that really made our doughter move.
