I remember this one. We were in New England having camped in New Hampshire and we were in Maine when apprised of the fact that Bruce was doing a run at the Bottom Line (a now defunct little club around the corner from NYU). Well Joanne & I cut short our trip and traveled down I 95. Got into Manhattan about 5pm and got 'standing room' tix for the Early Show. 10th Ave FreezeOut opener was hellacious. Bruce doing Thunder Road 'solo' at the piano, then the band joining in LOUD like a Solomon Burke tune. The Bottom Line is now closed. I recall carving our initials and the date into that ballister/rail that led to the kitchen & bathrooms.

A GREAT NIGHT of music. Taped the following nite's broadcast via WNEW (and a belated FU to Coleen O'Leary who I KNOW ripped my analog PreFM Master from a NYE party circa 1978). Oh well, I digress. IT WAS A GREAT NITE that Joanne & will always remember.

Not the best that I ever saw him, but pretty darn close. The BEST Bruce SHOW (that I saw?)???

State Theater New Brunswick the previous December. But it's all good Frankie. It's all good.
