My first Dire Straits show! My audience recording with the Aiwa CM 30->D6 pales in comparison with the DAT board recording. As I remember, the board tape is missing a few songs. Interestingly enough, the SF Chronicle music section ran the headlines 'This Dire Straits Lives Up To Name'. They panned the show, (as compared to Dire Straits shows from previous years.) We all thought it was great. I'll never forget the dread that I felt walking back to my buddy's car on San Leandro BLVD and walking past scores of cars that had their windows busted out and stereos stolen. Fortunately, Shane's Ford Probe was untouched. Maybe it was the alarm? Maybe it was just dumb luck. I'll never know. We got there late and the main lots were already full. I remember the guy who parked in front of us was complaining because they stole his Audiovox stereo. Big deal. My buddy had a mega $$$ component system in his car. We were soooo lucky!!
