It was a black, howling, torrential rain that fell night. Probably 50 or 75 brave souls ventured out to the small, bonafide "anti-sellout", "screw the money we do it for the music" independent record store. The fact that Warren ventured out here on his only night off from the Allman Brothers run at the Beacon speaks volumes about what a great record store this is... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY ALL WHO KNOW IT!
Anyhow, we all took up spots down the isles of this little shop and Warren came in from the rain with his accoustic guitar, walked to the "stage", which at the time was about 1ft off the ground and fit him and his stool and maybe a cup of coffee, addressed all of us in attendance and started to play. What a warm, approachable, humble guy! He played for so few of us, yet put so much heart and soul into it you'd think he was getting back "crowd energy" from frenzied masses at the Beacon. Just a FANTASTIC experience brought to us by a fantastic musician who just happens to be a fantastic human being.
GOD BLESS YOU WARREN and may there be many more times like these... Peace to all of you, Tim.
