Notes: This is another fantastic recording of the Miles Davis Septet from 1973. This time they were broadcasting live from Belgrade before continuing the tour through Italy, Spain, France, and England over the following two weeks. The 2nd CD of the bootleg "Another Bitches Brew" is likely sourced from a station reel, or else it is a near-perfect FM>Reel capture. The frequency response certainly indicates a reel and the absence of noise suggests it my be the master tape. In fact, the easily audible noise during the quietest segments is from a guitar amp (left channel). I'd guess the lineage is station master reel > ? > CD bootleg. illman's version is the same as the bootleg CD except for the tracking. There wasn't much it needed in terms of audio restoration, and flambay says the speed is correct. I have, however, made a few adjustments and repaired the aforementioned "minor anomalies" throughout this recording, as follows: - balanced: R-channel +1.30 dB - repaired clicks and pops - repaired distortions - gain normalized and retracked There were a lot of inaudible clicks that nonetheless affect the music. For example, certain guitar notes or stream of notes that sounded distorted, now sound completely natural once a stream of embedded clicks was weeded out. So while you couldn't hear these clicks directly, you did hear their affects as distortion. Other clicks sounded like offbeat drum hits, but when repaired, cleaned up an entire drum roll. In other places there were small to large pops during the quieter segments These types of flaws were likely caused by microscopic dust particles on the tape heads as displayed by the periodicity. These flaws, to the extent that I could find them, have all ben repaired. Now it sounds better, I'll give it an A. Seeded to dimeadozen.org, September 2010. -- plaz

Personnel : Miles Davis (tp) Dave Liebman (ss, ts, fl) Pete Cosey (g, perc) Reggie Lucas (g) Michael Henderson (el-b) Al Foster (d) James Mtume Forman (cga, perc) Tracks: 01 - Turnaroundphrase 02 - Tune in 5 03 - Turnaroundphrase 04 - Calypso Frelimo 05 - Tune in 5 Here is the second part of the "Another Bitches Brew" bootleg CD. This concert is CD 2 - CD 1 is the previously posted 1971 Belgrade concert. The CD didn't have individual tracks, so I imported the WAV-file to Cool Edit 2000, and made individual tracks, before converting to FLAC. Enjoy!

Notes: *Remastered** by thir13en Miles Davis Septet 1973-11-07 Dom Sindikata, Belgrade (Yugoslavia) Unknown radio broadcast This is a gem, as Miles kicks out a truly funktastic set. Damn, I'm listening to it as I write this, and having trouble focusing on what I'm typing. He's the hypnofunkinjazzafusion master. Yea, I made it up, so what? That time, '68-'74, was probably my favorite Miles era. Not too far away from his long hiatus as he was on the verge of being completely burnt-out, but the genius of his talents really shined during that rough time. Nice FM cap, ripe for the remaster process. I retracked it from the one big file it came in, then kicked it up with some life. Beautiful performance deserved beautiful sound.
