Notes: A 2nd source was used to fill in three minor segments of audio that were missing: approximately 48 seconds of the band's intro tape, approx 16 seconds during the jam section of Working Man (due to tape flip), and approximately 5 seconds extra during the encore break prior to In The Mood.

Notes: Notes: This is one of only three known shows recorded from the Fly By Night tour, also being the only known audience recording from the tour. This audience master tape is amazing quality, easily rivaling the FBN tour soundboards, and showcases the best performance and setlist representation of the tour. This is Rush's first full headline show at Massey Hall, and their second overall show at Massey Hall after having opened here for Nazareth in 1974. Rush would then later headline Massey Hall again in January 1976 during the Caress Of Steel tour, then three nights in June 1976 during the 2112 tour. For the many tours that would follow, Rush upgraded and would play all their homecoming Toronto shows at Maple Leaf Gardens instead, though all these Massey Hall shows are considered very big steps in Rush's career. The significance of this particular show to the band is definitely reflected in the power and energy of their performance here, further making it one of the definitive pre-2112 live recordings of Rush. This show was recorded by the same group of friends who recorded Rush in 1974 on October 24 at Massey Hall, and again that year on December 12 at the University of Toronto. Just like those two shows, this show was also recorded by two different tapers among the friend group in attendance. Source 1 is the version that has circulated for decades, however as of May 2025 we now have a major notable upgrade direct from the master tape. Source 2 is completely uncirculated and is also transferred from the master tape. Both taper sources capture the complete setlist, though both have different cuts during Working Man due to the tape being flipped. Both sources also have short differences in cuts during the breaks between encores, while Source 2 also has a slightly longer capture of the band's intro tape. While both sources are great recordings, Source 1 has the edge in quality. A source merge version was created using all of the Taper 1 source, while using the Taper 2 source to fill in three minor segments of audio that were missing: approx 48 seconds of the band's intro tape, approx 16 seconds during the jam section of Working Man (due to tape flip), and approx 5 seconds extra during the encore break prior to In The Mood. Immense thanks to those who helped us obtain these masters. I could not have achieved this alone. Enjoy the music and be grateful we are able hear these special recordings. If you have uncirculated tapes, please consider sharing them before they end up forever lost to time.

Notes: Here is a good show from the Toronto stop on the Fly By night tour. The sound overall is exceptional, but there is some distortion and tape hiss as this is an older source, but it sounds great other than that. The performance here is great, the band seems to be happy to be back in Canada after being away so long. A great show for the collectors, but I don't really know if the casual bootlegger will really like the sound all too much.
