Notes: This is recorded from tv and sounds like it through the first minute -- it's a rough ride, baby; however, after that first nerve-rattler, the audio clears up (a little, low, lite noise in the back but underneath enough to not be distracting) and the show becomes very enjoyable. If you're a Prine fan and know anything about his early 80s material, then you know he straddled a fence between wanting to stick to his roots and wanting to rock-out. During this show, he tries to bridge the gap by having an awesome fiddler trade licks with a lead guitarist who foreshadows the great 80s "hair bands." (I swear the guy must have been Carlos Cavazo...or a very young Nuno Bettencourt.) For this reason alone, this show is worth having; however, it doesn't stop there. During this tv show, Prine rides around his old home town (Maywood, Illinois) and points out his boyhood home and some areas of inspiration for his songs. Brilliant insight, brilliant show, brilliant setlist!
