Notes: Audience recorders 1 + 2: merge of two tape transfers Lineage recorder 1: Shure SM57 > Philips recorder > Philips C90 Cass(M) > CDR(3) > wav > shn > wav > Adobe Audition 3.0.1 Lineage recorder 2: 3rd gen Cass > DAT@44.1kHz > shn > wav > Adobe Audition 3.0.1 - Copied left (stronger) channel to right on both (mono) recorders - Deleted 12.7 secs of audience/tunings at the end of Disc 1, repeated at the start of Disc 2 - Spliced recorder 2 1:59 into ASoS - Speed correction Tracked with CD Wave, encoded to flac 8 with Flac Frontend, tagged and verified. Recorder 1 has speed fluctuations during the first part of AHM due to tape damage which fluctuations I didn't even try to address. The master tapes seem not to have been preserved that well, but it has powerful, upfront mono (!) sound as well as a bit of tape hiss (that's right folks, the music breathes). SQ is VG+ almost pushing EX- and Nick's drums can be heard very well as well as the other instruments. In short, it's among the best of the 1970 tape sources. Recorder 2 ASoS was speed corrected with a 104.3 stretch, The Embryo 105.9 (fluctuations from 7:15 till the end) Recorder 2 here comes from an damaged tape, which damage gets worse towards the end, it suffers from background noise, tape bleed-through and speed fluctuations. SQ is VG at best.

Notes: Lineage: Shure SM57>Philips cass.recorder>cassm(Philips C90 low noise)>DAT>DAT. Transferred on a Tascam DA-20 in April 2020. Re-indexed in Fission. Length: 89:19m DAT acquired from German trader Roland R. circa 2005. The lineage is as I received it 15 years ago - Roland was pretty disciplined in keeping up with these things. Don't expect an upgrade but I noticed a 16/48 DAT was not being seeded here. Great November 1970 show!

Too bad about the speed problems during Atom Heart Mother. Otherwise this show would have been ranked higher! Again, more than one tape exists. An 89-minute version is of superior quality but is incomplete. The full tape is 110 minutes and features complete recordings of 'A Saucerful Of Secrets' and 'The Embryo'. [ROGER: Good evening.] [GIRL: Good evening.] Astronomy Domine (Someone whistles along to the first ten seconds, extended guitar tuning after) Cymbaline [ROGER: We've got a new album out, one side of which is called 'Atom Heart Mother' and which has a choir on it and some brass people. Brass instruments. And er ..., there's a version of it that we do without the brass and choir. We're gonna end first half of this concert with that. Atom Heart Mother (Rattling of mics during first few bars.) [ROGER: Thank you. We'll be right back after.] Green Is The Colour/ Careful With That Axe, Eugene/ Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun (Tuning and a blast of feedback) [ROGER: The powers that be tell me that our first set too long so we've got, this is going to have to be our last number, I'm afraid, and it's called 'A Saucerful Of Secrets'. Notes: NOTES: A Yeeshkul! member (jj___ ) pointed our attention on a recording that suffers of serious wow&flutter issue i.e. above mentioned Pink Floyd Copenhagen 1970, especially in the Atom Heart Mother track but with less evident but still serious issues in the other tracks; jj___ asked us to fix all those issues (probably created by a sticky tape). Thanks to him, and to all involved in this remaster edition. We corrected wow&flutter in A way you can hear in the "before/after" sample also corrected pitch inaccuracies on the whole show, tape-flips has been repaired, stereo balanced, and raised/lowered segments for dynamic correction. no noise reduction used and neither compressions. We are very very proud to present you an highly enjoyable edition of a great performance and recording.

Notes: another great AUD recording from a strong era in Floyd's history. Roger's bass is a little light in the mix but not bad enough that it's inaudible. All other instruments are crisp and clear. Definately a professional audience recording and a great show to add to the collection. Pink Floyd Falkoner Centret, Fredriksberg, Copenhagen, Denmark 12 November 1970 disc 1: 01.
