| Notes: | * Low-circulation recording ** ** A TooleMan Remaster ** Lineage: unknown gear & tape -> mastering process of some sort -> first-generation tape? -> audio CD -> EAC -> TheTooleMan remaster (2011) -> FLAC Anyone who can identify the taper of this show should let us know so we can give full credit for a good job. This is a very good recording of a fine Saturday night performance. It's a nearly-complete show, the first of two Yes gave in New Haven in 1979. I think the finale of Steve Howe's solo set is missing and was patched with applause where it ends prematurely, and there's a cut in "And You And I" that I've mixed to make it a bit less jarring. The recording sounds great after some careful TooleMan tweaking. There were a few cuts in applause and some fades applied by a previous basement engineer. I cleaned those up, adjusted the track boundaries, balanced the levels of the left and right channels, and equalized the whole shootin' match. No noise reduction was used; there's a slight high-frequency hiss throughout the tape. Jon seems to think he is in Hartford at first, but gets it straight pretty fast. And an explosive sound gets a big reaction just before Jon sings the opening lines of "Heart of the Sunrise." Thanks again to Alec B. and Paulie for another great, rare recording.
