Notes: By request here is another Yes Tales tour show form the UK. I took several hours today converting and remastering this show from my tapes which I received in a trade around 1980 or so. I can't verify the generation, but the tape was plaqued by hiss and low rumble. The sound, while a lot better than before still has some hiss to it. Reducing it too much resulted in the loss of clarity, which I took the license to keep. The show sounds like it was recorded from the nosebleed section of the theatre, but some of the hollow quality has been removed. Also inluded in the torrent are some pics courtesy of Eddie Dowds and the Forgotten Yesterdays website. CD 2 2. The Ancient (small cut in the middle, presumably a tape flip) Relayerman version

Notes: We’re excited to launch a new series built around low-generation archives of Yes and Yes-related shows. In the best spirit of how dime should work. Longtime collectors Carl and Kevin-names many of you may recognize-had been combing through old boxes and uncovering shows they’d spent years tracking down in the lowest-gen sources available. The tapes were sent to Tooleman, but his transfer deck is currently out of commission, he contacted Goody to try to find someone willing to take on the task of transferring and evaluating roughly 60 tapes for potential upgrades. Goody reached out to me, and as I apparently have an illness that won't allow me to pass up any opportunity like this, I was more than happy to take the project on...no tape left behind. I consider this first release a meaningful upgrade to the three circulating versions for the December 6th Glasgow show at the Apollo Theatre, recorded just one day before Tales From Topographic Oceans hit the shelves. While the exact generation isn’t listed, Carl and Kevin’s diligence strongly suggests it’s very low-gen and to my ears has less hiss and more clarity. I spent about four weeks restoring & remastering this one between other projects, and then Goody stepped in to work his magic-correcting pitch issues and taming tape instability, wow and flutter-bringing the recording up to another level. The lo-fi capture is limited by taping location and the recording gear of the era, but I now find it a genuinely enjoyable listen for its time and context, all 4 sides of Tales From Topographic Oceans are played in their entirety. Thanks to Carl and Kevin for ensuring their years of collecting weren’t in vain, and to Tooleman for facilitating the acquiring of these tapes—and for Goody reaching out and his excellent work on this show. Thanks also to forgotten-yesterdays.com for show details, the adverts and ticket stub included in the torrent. Artwork is included... mjk5510
