Comment
Johnny Rawls, a favorite at the festival five years ago, has been called “the Little Milton of the 21st Century.” Born and raised in Mississippi's rural Gulf Coast area, this multi-talented guitarist, soul singer, and songwriter spent two decades as a sideman to many of the top blues/soul masters, including Little Johnny Taylor, and O.V. Wright.
Rawls appears with his revue on the Festival main stage on Saturday, July 1, and contributes his righteous guitar chops to Linda Hornbuckle's Gospel segment on Sunday afternoon.
