"We have been waiting years, you assholes better be good." There were rumours that Black Flag were supposed to play Winnipeg earlier in 84 and as far back as 83. They never seemed to make it up to the peg whenever they toured. Many veteran HC punks felt they were never going to get a chance to see the mighty Flag. By late 84 the HC scene had taken on many casualities and was beginning to disintergrate. Too many jocks and people getting hurt. At this show I saw a kid trying to get onstage and one of the roadies pushed him off, only to be pushed back onto the stage by people in the crowd. The roadie punched the kid so hard in the face he knocked him out and the kid crumpled to the floor. I was totally shocked. This music is not for the faint of heart. | |||||
