The screaming guy in the right channel was so coked up I thought his chest was going to explode. He jumped up and down like a pogo stick for 2 hours virtually non-stop. And of course we have the skanky blond girls in the left channel who simply can't shut the fuck up for more than 5 minutes out of fear that nobody is paying attention to them. Sorry guys, I did the best I could. I thought I'd be better off in the reserved seats, but it looks like the mosh pit would have been a better choice. (Well, maybe if I was 20 years younger...) Hopefully somebody else got a better recording of this show, but this one is good enough for the completists. Feel free to share this recording with anyone you like, in any trading forum you like. "Trade Status" my ass! MJK wasn't sick. Good for him. He had to be the driving force behind what was the most ridiculous entrance search I've ever seen. I've been to plenty of shows, several at the new Sears Centre, and this was not their doing I'm sure. There was a huge line outside when we got there, I figured it was for Gen Adm floor, wrong! They had people walking through the line warning people they would lose their camera if they used it. "YOU DO NOT TAKE PICTURES AT A TOOL SHOW" was the chant. When you got to what was like a airport security checkpoint, you had to empty your pockets. They were taking loose change! What, MJK can only be pummeled by bills? Ironic, after losing my change, I promptly was given change at the concession stand! What a joke! After all that, my rig acted up, haven't had time to check out exactly what isn't working, but no power to my mics! At least I found out during the openers, which didn't do it for me. So, if nothing else, this serves as a documentation of the quality (or lack of, depending on your opinion) of the internal mics on the R09. As a backup, and no fuss, no wires, no external power needed, not bad I'd say. You are stuck trying to figure out where to put it to try and get some heighth, but hey, they saved a show that was otherwise lost. As for the show, I liked the change in order of the set, and we got Flood, MJK was not even audible many times, nothing new there. He's got a good voice IMO, not sure what his problem is, at least he wasn't bitching about not feeling good. They played a bit longer which was nice, just seems with this long on tour they would rotate the older material more. | |||||
