Notes: transfer: Nakamichi CR7A (azimuth adjusted, 70usec bias and no Dolby) > Korg MR2000-s @ 1 bit, 5.6 MHz DSDIFF preparation: AudioGate (24-96) > iZotope RX4 advanced & Har-Bal 3.0 > Adobe Audition 3.0 (-0.13cents) > CD Wave > AudioGate Aqua (16-44) > TLH (flac 8) Speed correction was done with professor goody's advice. Many thanks to the pervessor for his help! Artwork for this project was created by ethiessen1 Many thanks for the professional artwork! You can hear my friend David greeting me as I get there just in the nick of time. I sort of remember sitting a bit to the right side and in the middle of the first section. Sounds like we are right in front of the PA. Jeff was on the other side of the stage and I was real concerned during the first song because you could barely hear him. It was the mix and by the second song his guitar is nice and loud. This tape has been in the hands of David Freshman all these years and he sent me these 2 masters recently. David, Mark and I were very close friends and we made a few recordings together. For this recording we borrowed Ron's new Sennheiser 406 microphones and they were brand new and very bass heavy. Made the masters very muddy sounding. Har-Bal toned down the low end by using the harmonic balancing principle and a little spectral reshaping. This recording came out incredible and coupled with a hot performance this is really nice to listen to 36 years later. Loud claps, screams, chatter and whistles were toned down or masked with a variety of methods using iZotope RX4 advanced. Handling noises and other odd clunks & ticks were also removed at that time. For historical reference only and not intended for resale or any commercial use. Enjoy -M- (December 2016)
